Our mission is to promote preventive measures to help the congregation maintain good health by educating them about the importance of regular screenings, proper diet and exercise, health education and prayer.

GOALS:
- To be ready to assist members and guests with comfort and first aid care in case of emergencies, until the arrival of medical professionals.
- The health ministry will also provide materials for health education and offer various workshops on maintaining good health.
MINSTRY TEAM ROLES:
- Community Liaison - serves as a “link” or “bridge” to community health agencies such as the Red Cross, YMCA, American Diabetes Association, etc. Coordinates community blood drives and health events.
- Health Educator - presents and arranges educational programs dealing with health and prevention of disease. (e.g. cancer, diabetes, hand washing, diet, exercise, medication assistance)
- Certified Medical Assistant - help with a list of questions to ask primary care provider at next appointment. Provides emergency first aid as needed. Must maintain and show proof of certification.
- Volunteer Coordinator - recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to assist with the overall health ministry
