Worship is much more than music. There are a lot of important aspects that go into our worship at FICCF - both up front and behind the scenes. If you're musically gifted and want to help lead others in worship, the music team is looking for you! Vocalists, musicians and praise dancers are welcome to share their talents. Got an ear for sound? Know your way around PowerPoint and other creative software? For those who feel more comfortable working behind the scenes, consider serving on our audio/visual team!
WHAT IS WORSHIP?
To praise God means that we center in on what God has done, worship centers in on Him, who He is, His person. In Christianity, worship is the act of attributing reverent honor and homage to God. In the New Testament, various words are used to refer to the term worship. One is proskuneo ("to worship") which means to bow down to God or kings. Worship is to respect, esteem, love, admire and revere.
John 4:24 We are to worship in spirit and truth. It is not just an outward thing; your heart must be involved for it to really be worship.
